- We compress your video and encode it to a flash (.flv) file that allows it to play in our Digitorial® Video Player (DVP).
- Your video is also compressed into 4 different mobile formats for easy distribution to 100's of mobile devices.
- We generate the code you need to have your audio or video play from your website.
- What is included in the monthly hosting?
- Use of our dynamic Digitorial® streaming video player with options to email, podcast, embed code, RSS feed and text message your video worldwide.
- Your video will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Monthly statistics including how many times your video was played.
- Unlimited simultaneous viewing of your video.
- What is the encoding process?
- Our production personnel will take your finished video in a variety of formats and encode (digitize) them to work with our software so they stream on your website. We will place different file formats into our player that will allow your video to play across a broad spectrum of high speed and dial-up connections. Our player automatically detects the connection speed of the viewer and delivers the appropriate format.
- What type of video can I send you to encode?
- Hi8, VHS, PAL, MiniDV, VHSC. Almost all digital file types including ( .avi, .mpg, .mov, .rm, etc.)
- How long can my video be?
- We encode video up to 2 hrs in length maximum. You can send us any audio or video under the 2 hr. limit. If you have a longer video it can be split up into two sessions and placed into a gallery within our DVP or on a video library [age.
- How long does it take to process my video streaming order?
- When using Upload-N-Go (bring your own video), your video will be ready to distribute in less than one hour. You simply create an account on www.digitorial.com, purchase your services, and then upload your video to our server using your web browser. Once our server has completed transcoding your video you can start distributing it immediately.
- Where will my video be hosted?
- We are partnered with a national leader in the video hosting industry. Our server network is one of the largest in the world, is completely scalable, constantly updated and improved and guarantees that your video will be up and playing 99.5% of the time.
- Do you offer tech support?
- Yes we offer tech support. Outages or downtime are rare. But if it were to happen a client can submit a tech support request from your contact us page on your website. They fill out the form and describe the problem and it will automatically be sent to you and to the hosting/data center and the problem will be corrected. The client will receive status within 1 hr. Support via your contact page is available 24 hrs a day, 365 days per year.
- Do you have an uptime guarantee?
- Yes we guarantee 99.5% uptime year around. You are informed via email of scheduled outages/upgrades. Very rare that downtime ever exceeds 30 minutes at any given time. Outages are very rare. You (the client) will be given a full refund of your monthly streaming charge if we miss our 99.5% uptime guarantee for a month.
- What type of servers will be used to host my audio or video?
- We use Unix servers such as (Linux, BSD, Sun). These are the most reliable servers for streaming media. They do not have the security holes and hacks that Microsoft Servers encounter.
- What type of stats will you provide?
- We provide you (the client) statistical information from our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- How fast do your servers connect to the internet?
- Your video will be hosted on a server that connects to a 1 Gig ethernet network that is load balanced over 4 different carriers. This ensures your video does not go down.
- What carriers do you use to ensure constant connectivity?
- Our provider contracts with multiple fiber carriers Verio, Quest, Cogent, Sprint to ensure that your connectivity does not go down.
- Do you have server backups in case of emergency?
- Yes our hosting provider has backup switches, rebooters, hard drives, complete servers and router cards in case of failure.
